High school's finally over, and for Andy, that means he gets to finally visit Sicily! The land of good food, art, and one too many families associated with the mafia. Yikes! ~~ Andy Sanchez is your average 18 year old. He's a big brother to two siblings, and very excited for his first ever vacation to Italy. He's looking forward to everything: beautiful canals, art, the architecture, and, of course, the food! While out exploring, Andy meets a very mysterious individual. A classy, twenty or so year old woman, who seems quite interested in him. She calls herself Luca, and Andy can't help but fall for her charm. She treats him to dinners and outings galore. For a few days... everything seems perfect. But things take a turn when Andy finds out someone close to him has a history in the streets of Sicily. Turns out the local small town mafia aren't too happy to see him again. Not in the slightest. In fact, they want him dead. And Andy doesn't know what to do. (Just a short story. Got the idea after watching Mickey Blue Eyes with the fam. Great movie, it's hilarious, def for 13+ tho. I hope you enjoy this one!) Moira knows there has to be a reason why she was forced to leave Ireland after her father's drowning, and the secrets her mother keeps aren't calming her curiosity and desire to learn the truth. Her only link to the past is her best friend, Cillian, and even he has grown quiet as Moira's eighteenth birthday approaches. But when Cillian finally agrees to take her back to Ireland, and Moira sees the fierce waves and the seals that watch her from the rocks, the stories hidden from her suddenly begin to make sense. Her family has been feuding with the selkies, the seal people that surround the village, for years, causing the numerous drownings that lead her mother to fear the water so much. Moira can end the issue - she's supposed to marry a selkie prince once she's eighteen, forever tying her people with the seals. Moira has only just discovered the life hidden from her, and going to live with the seals would mean giving up the life she's always wanted to live. She doesn't want to give herself up to the sea. It will have to come for her.

To make matters worse, the Magick that runs in Avery's blood is so unnaturally potent it could do much worse than just destroy a city. It would destroy nations, millions of people, and destroy Avery herself. And if that happens, the Magick is free, loose, and can do anything to anybody and any object. That is why she must learn to control it. She must, or she will have to face the consequences.
