Do you remember the day they arrived? Do you remember? Red beams shot through the sky, decimating the entire Hosnian System. Elsewhere in the galaxy, a young scavenger was tracked down by the evil Kylo Ren, and Stormtroopers toppled a castle that had stood for hundreds of years. That's not where you were. At the time, you were working in the Inner Rim Court, one of the highest courts in the galaxy. Almost immediately after the seat of the New Republic fell, the First Order marched into the court and dragged you, the judges, and the rest of the clerks out from that hall of justice. You weren't prepared for this, how could you have been? Told in the second person, Judgment is the story of a law clerk caught in the middle of the First Order's takeover. The Empire had it's defectors (Han Solo, Wedge Antilles, Biggs Darklighter, Agent Kallus), and the First Order is determined to avoid being taken down by people who once believed in the cause. One officer's attempt to understand a critic of the Empire leads them down a path they never imagined they'd be on.

Date: Oct. 21, 2020 Author: Princess T. Zafra Type: Short Story Theme: Freedom of Speech The story is a depiction of the artwork "Serenity" at our website: https://teampensandbrushes.wixsite.com/pensnbrushes/post/serenity Here is a quick snippet of the piece: "Unsaid words were left to create a storm in the head. They grumble and rumble of the dark clouds are like the whimpers of the dead." A man said as he looks up to the sky with a thoughtful smile. "The darkest times for a creative mind, the colors of the world fade as our hearts were in a bind." A light chuckle escaped as he gazes at the empty horizon. The winds blew lightly on his face making his smile widen, "But our hearts and minds are quite a fighter, they will not give up especially to those who were flaring up in anger." Sighing as he remembers the memory he dearly holds, a soft laugh then could be heard, "The world was like a white canvas, blank and empty as we see, but full of silent screams and pleads. A canvas we painted with our own choice of colors, we thirst to share such creation." Thoughts start to come in knocking in his head, he turned his head to the person he is talking to, "I have a painting now I want to share. Is it safe to speak or I should beware?"

What comes in your mind when you think about freedom? Is it about someone being out of prison or is it an act, a speech, or anything that deals with being free to do anything? Well, both are correct. But what if we relate the word LIBERTY???, still, it's FREEDOM, the only thing that makes it different is it has restraint. Sure, you can do anything but you have to abide in the law. (A tap on the back for johnthecovenant 🤣🤣🤣) How about we link FREEDOM WITH RELATIONSHIP??? "To each of its own", it might be different from my personal standpoint and might be different for you. Or we can also just simply say that it also differs on the scenario. When your partner is restraining you for doing something, do you think he's taking your freedom away?? Or even your family??? Do you think, they're doing it because they just want to??. NO. Because they know what's right and wrong. They simply know, what's best for you. Same as our relationship with God. He's giving us the freewill or liberty to do what we want to do but we need to know what is right and what is wrong. I'm pretty sure that we're all intelligent being, thus we know what's gonna be the best for us.
