Sometimes, when stories aren't enough, I turn to poems. Sometimes, when I set a pen to paper, magic flows out. Sometimes, when I write poetry, something beautiful happens.

As she opened her lips, blood-red seeds spilled out; seeds of wisdom. Come closer to gather a kernel of truth and become enlightened.

Do we want to escape the realities of our lives if there were only pleasure and happiness, not horrendous lies? Some say an abundance of darkness is what makes us appreciate a trickle of light. There was meant to be a balance not a pit of chaos in this world of ours. This is the collection of my internal conflicts, the thoughts that overpowered me with the darkest hour where the monsters chased, destroyed and ruined me to the edge of insanity. Fourteen year old me was scared and misunderstood. But eventually, I found my voice in form of words that understood and made me the way I am today. A strong person who can fend off those monsters with blood tinted swords. No more fearful To all the people out there, I acknowledge your presence and understand your feelings. You are surviving the horrors of life. But one day I promise you, It will be all worth it in the end if you believe in yourself.

i'm a poet, at least i'd like to believe i am. This is my journal, my world, my emotions, and me. Enjoy, and tread forward carefully. There will be triggers in this book, mental health and allusions to self harm and death. PLEASE do not be discouraged by some of my earlier works, it's mostly chronological and it starts getting better with imagery and phrasing later on. Another fair warning; my poems are decently edgy and sad, most of my poems come during my sad times.

No Extinction by Gloria E. Gherardi. The poems I have written are feelings and situations that I have gone through. Impressed by what I have lived, but proud to do it again. I was born again. The smile that God gave me back, will never be erased from my soul, in different contexts, perhaps, I will make decisions that are not the most appropriate, I will cry, but in the end, I will laugh and be happier in my world, I write since 1977, some poems I have left in oblivion to pass dark passages of a life full of experiences, I will continue writing. I write to change and resume the course that God set for me. Thank you all for reading No Extinction. GG.

There really is no rhyme or reason to this collection of poems I have written. I'm new to poetry and want to learn all I can in how to improve. Criticism and tips are always welcome!

Hey guys! I hope you all are doing good. This diary contain poems written by me . As a teenager my mood keeps changing so there is no specific style of writing. I have just start my journey of writing and it would be very helpful if any of you would correct my mistake and suggest me how to improve my writing skills.
