"Whatever women do, they must do twice as well as men to be thought half as good." This is the quote Yvonne James, CEO, James-Carmichael and Co. lives by. A self made woman, she is poised, cunning, hardworking and at times, ruthless. All her life, she has spent working hard, amassing massive fortunes and taking her dynasty of industries forwards, but has been missing out on simple pleasures of life. Kyle Crawford, an innocent, ambitious young journalist is struggling to make ends meet. When he ends up on his boss' bad side, he knows there's only one way he'll get to keep his job: an interview with Yvonne James, the woman who has been the object of his fantasies since a long time. When they meet, he realizes her life isn't as rosy as it seems. ************************************ This isn't just a story about a rich woman meeting a man and falling in love. It is an emotional journey exploring love and friendship, challenging gender stereotypes and roles society has defined for us. The characters may be quite unexpected and some parts may be disturbing to some people, I'll make sure I put up a warning before any such part. *The male protagonist is FAR from the usual ruthless, dark and brooding alpha male who protects women. If the thought of a CEO story without such a male character makes you uncomfortable, please don't read any further. Cover by @tenress. She makes awesome covers! The book is still a work in progress with irregular updates. Thank you for bearing with me :) #ProjectWomanUp #FreeTheBoy

❝I'd rather die kind and forgotten than be remembered for being brutal.❞ ( currently undergoing a soft rewrite -- chapters will be reposted as they're edited! ) ⠀⠀⠀⠀ Had Bellamy not volunteered, he wouldn't be sent out for slaughter. Had he not volunteered, he wouldn't be a pawn in the Capitol's sick game of exploitation; the young and desirable fan favourite with a lionheart and haunting blue eyes -- a rare and unusual sight to behold from District Nine, making him all the more of a target to tributes whilst the crowd swayed in his favour. ⠀⠀⠀⠀Then again, had Bellamy not volunteered, he'd never have gotten to live out his final lasting days with her. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀[ extended summary inside ] ⠀⠀⠀⠀ 69th hunger games | oc x oc ⠀⠀⠀⠀ olivia martin © 2016 (original ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ver) & © 2019 (revamped ver) ⠀⠀⠀⠀( cover by me / @iydiamartin )

Are you vulnerable enough to get down and support real issues? This year a lot of people both male and female have been shining light on and supporting mental health issues; serious issues that have always been overlooked. We're looking for the top 50 ways society has grown this year in placing importance on these issues. That's the first part, the first labyrinth. The second part is we're asking everyone to join in the writing fun, writing your way out of your labyrinth. It can be as short as 150 words and as long as 1500 words (or longer if you want!), just be vulnerable enough to answer this year's question:" What is your labyrinth and how will you escape it?" More info about this whole thing and how it came about inside. Open participation!

****BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! COMPLETED!!!!**** Thierry Lemieux: self-proclaimed good boy, straightforward, and (somewhat) jaded. Those are three adjectives that describe the teenager with a heavy chip on his shoulders. Having a family that treated him like trash can do that. So when the time came for him to be sent off to boarding school in Boston, Thierry has low expectations after being bullied for most of his life. But when he crosses paths with the son of the headmistress and somehow learns that his roommate is a werewolf, that's when Thierry's senior year turns upside down and inside out. And with the help of fierce drag queens and an ally or two as the drama begins to unfold, Theirry has one rule to remember: Good boys never lie, no matter how unbelievably bizarre the truth may be. "Boys don't wear pink." "Boys don't cry." "Boys are not supposed to be fragile." "Boys don't have a feminist side." "You are such a girl." Cairo Crosby endured every judgement that came his way silently. After all, living in a narrow-minded society doesn't exactly raise one's expectations. But when he got kicked out of the all boys high school he used to go to for not being enough 'manly', Cairo had enough. He wanted to make the world know about boys like him. He wanted to have his rights. He didn't give up. He didn't give up even when his letters were rejected before they could reach the dying president. He didn't give up even when he wasn't allowed to bring his case to the court. He was ready to grasp any chance he got. Even if it meant dressing up as the president's missing daughter to make his way into the White House and make his situation known to the people high up the social ladder. But things in the White House tend to get messy, and Cairo's chances to prove himself aren't really high. Especially in his disguise. Through all of this mess, would he be able to fight for the soft boys? ~*~*~ ©CinderellaInReverse ❤️Cover by @John_Schorwinson
