[ ] PLOT FATALE is a series of experimental neo-noir metafictional surrealist narrative poems written between July 1 and 31, 2026, featuring the same protagonist: a writer/poet named Morris. But who, or what, is Morris really? Will we ever find out? [ ] The first part of this project [BOOK ONE: WEIRD WEATHER] was first published on Noir On The Vine [blog link in bio], X and BlueSky. [ ] Disclaimer: This was a live, unrefined first draft of an ongoing narrative poetry cycle. Subject to future revisions. [ ] I hope you have as much fun reading these poems as I enjoyed writing them. © 2026 C.E. NOIR. All Rights Reserved.

"Things We Take For Granted" is a personal reflection about the blessings and privileges people often fail to appreciate, especially family, friendships, and emotional support. In this piece, I shared my realizations about how not everyone grows up with complete families, close relationships, or people they can rely on, which can make life feel lonely and painful. I also opened up about my own experiences with loneliness, insecurity, emotional struggles, and the pain of feeling ignored by people I care about. Despite going through those hardships, I expressed how grateful I still am for my family, education, friends, and the people who continue to support me. Overall, my piece highlights themes of gratitude, emotional vulnerability, self-doubt, resilience, and learning to appreciate the people and things we often take for granted.

Love, Lost A Collection of Poems on Love and Loss Love, Lost is a raw, lyrical dissection of love's aftermath-where heartbreak is not a single wound, but a hundred small ones. Through 25 haunting poems, this collection explores love as abandoned places, broken objects, and silenced echoes. Each piece is a relic: a fading tattoo, a stranded whale, an unanswered call, a locked diary. With equal parts tenderness and grit, these poems don't just mourn-they autopsy. They ask: How does love dissolve? When does missing someone turn into forgetting? And why do we keep touching the scars long after they've healed? For anyone who has ever loved too deeply, let go too slowly, or carried a ghost in their chest, this book is a mirror-and a softly whispered, "Me too." By: Zweli Vincent Mhlotshana

When you're bleeding but no one ever noticed. When you're dying inside but everyone keeps on laughing hard at you. When the world wants to throw you up but you still ended being here. Mourning. Mourning in your own Grave. Mourning in your own Misery. And the only way to ease the pain is through writing. You and your pen. You and your notes. You and your thoughts. You and your own pain. It's all about, you and yourself.

INNER VOICES Silently, They lay deep within me. Whispering, The things I feel. Telling me to listen. Telling me to sit still. Sometimes I only but dream That it's all a drill. Letting me believe That they are in control. They only but relieve The weight that blows. Filling my head With unwavering thoughts. My mind bled A whole lot of buts. Fully understanding, I gave them purpose. Finally utilizing, I began to compose. Became an escape From the cruel reality. Far from fake It was an actuality. ©Bernadette ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Cover made by Potato__Writer ~~~~~~~~~~~~ A collection of poems thought out and written by me. All rights reserved.
