"Things We Take For Granted" is a personal reflection about the blessings and privileges people often fail to appreciate, especially family, friendships, and emotional support. In this piece, I shared my realizations about how not everyone grows up with complete families, close relationships, or people they can rely on, which can make life feel lonely and painful. I also opened up about my own experiences with loneliness, insecurity, emotional struggles, and the pain of feeling ignored by people I care about. Despite going through those hardships, I expressed how grateful I still am for my family, education, friends, and the people who continue to support me. Overall, my piece highlights themes of gratitude, emotional vulnerability, self-doubt, resilience, and learning to appreciate the people and things we often take for granted.

Is This How a Relationship Feels Like? is a poetry collection that sits quietly between love and doubt. These poems are about the kind of connection that doesn't come with labels-where conversations feel intimate, but clarity never arrives. Where effort is given deeply, yet reassurance stays distant. Where love exists, but safety doesn't. Written in soft free verse, this book traces the journey of almost-love: the slow attachment, the unanswered questions, the exhaustion of giving more, and the gentle realization that love should not feel this confusing. With simple metaphors and raw emotion, each poem reads like a thought you were afraid to admit but felt every day. This is a book for those who stayed longer because they cared more. For hearts that loved quietly, waited patiently, and learned slowly. For anyone who has ever asked themselves- Is this how a relationship feels like, or am I settling for less?

This book is poetry about the moments before everything falls apart. The thoughts that keep you awake at night. The love that hurts more than it heals. The way your mind can become both your safest place and your greatest enemy. Told through deeply personal poems, 'Before the Breaking' follows the quiet unraveling of a girl learning how to survive the weight of her own thoughts. Her story is personal, but echos the feelings of many. Because somewhere between the cracks, the hurt, and the healing, we all learn what it means to keep going. Author: Lexie Kathleen

When I can't sleep, I write down random stuff. Sometimes it's deep, thoughtful, intriguing poetry. Sometimes it's sleep-deprived gibberish. Most of it will end up here, in the form of short poems. WARNING: may discuss subjects including depression, anxiety, gender-related mental health struggles, homo/transphobia, etc.
