This book is poetry about the moments before everything falls apart. The thoughts that keep you awake at night. The love that hurts more than it heals. The way your mind can become both your safest place and your greatest enemy. Told through deeply personal poems, 'Before the Breaking' follows the quiet unraveling of a girl learning how to survive the weight of her own thoughts. Her story is personal, but echos the feelings of many. Because somewhere between the cracks, the hurt, and the healing, we all learn what it means to keep going. Author: Lexie Kathleen

Is This How a Relationship Feels Like? is a poetry collection that sits quietly between love and doubt. These poems are about the kind of connection that doesn't come with labels-where conversations feel intimate, but clarity never arrives. Where effort is given deeply, yet reassurance stays distant. Where love exists, but safety doesn't. Written in soft free verse, this book traces the journey of almost-love: the slow attachment, the unanswered questions, the exhaustion of giving more, and the gentle realization that love should not feel this confusing. With simple metaphors and raw emotion, each poem reads like a thought you were afraid to admit but felt every day. This is a book for those who stayed longer because they cared more. For hearts that loved quietly, waited patiently, and learned slowly. For anyone who has ever asked themselves- Is this how a relationship feels like, or am I settling for less?

(poems from a depressed and broke college student) poems, rants and essays! I'm always open to constructive criticism! This is all for fun! And by fun, I mean this is a very cheap version of therapy for me.

Love, Lost A Collection of Poems on Love and Loss Love, Lost is a raw, lyrical dissection of love's aftermath-where heartbreak is not a single wound, but a hundred small ones. Through 25 haunting poems, this collection explores love as abandoned places, broken objects, and silenced echoes. Each piece is a relic: a fading tattoo, a stranded whale, an unanswered call, a locked diary. With equal parts tenderness and grit, these poems don't just mourn-they autopsy. They ask: How does love dissolve? When does missing someone turn into forgetting? And why do we keep touching the scars long after they've healed? For anyone who has ever loved too deeply, let go too slowly, or carried a ghost in their chest, this book is a mirror-and a softly whispered, "Me too." By: Zweli Vincent Mhlotshana

This is a collection of my previous 4 works. They have been combined together. So that it is easy for the reader to go through all of my work easily. I have also added a few new additions to these collections so far. This collection covers the following... 1) A Diary of my thoughts 2) Midday Blues 3) Fading Light? 4) Dawn & Dusk Please leave an upvote if you enjoyed, also I'm not a full-time poet, i only write to lighten up my feelings. My aim is to pour the rawness in my feelings into this collection. So, I apologize for any grammatical mistakes in advance. These words are my attempt to transfer the weight of my feelings, to give shape to the grief that has lingered within me for as long as I can remember. I seek nothing in return for these words. My only wish is for them to exist as a record of my being, a testament that I was here. Each word stands resilient against time, proving that while I am not defined by my grief, it has been a part of me. This book is a chronicle of my love and all the grief that has followed it through the years. Thank you.

Round 2 Qualifier The Ambys 2025 | The Melody of Memory: Poems Between Art and Nature What happens when memory becomes the bridge between artistic creation and the natural world? The Melody of Memory: Poems Between Art and Nature is a complete 30-poem collection born from National Poetry Writing Month (NaPoWriMo), where each piece responds to prompts weaving together art and nature themes. This is a journey through the connections between what we create and the natural world that moves us. The Collection The opening poem, "Undomesticated Forms," introduces "biomorph"-organic, life-suggesting shapes in abstract art. Drawing from the CoBrA movement's resistance to capitalist art production, these poems explore how memory guides us through spaces where art meets nature. From the Getty Museum's Florentine Codex to the rhythms of rain and wind, the poems traverse where human artistry meets natural wonder. They remember. They celebrate. They connect. Thirty poems exploring: - Fluid boundaries between artistic expression and natural phenomena - Memory as connective tissue linking creativity to organic inspiration - Rhythm and melody in both art forms and natural cycles. A voice that: - Weaves thoughtful curiosity with organic, sensory experience - Employs contemplative first-person narration with measured free verse - Discovers unexpected melodies in cultural artefacts and natural phenomena. From "Whispers to Chronos" to "Melodies of Melancholy," each poem traces the melody of memory connecting artistic creation to natural wonder. The Melody of Memory takes these daily prompts and turns them into something deeper - a month-long conversation about how art and nature speak to each other, and how both become part of the stories we carry with us. FREE VERSE POETRY!!! In this poetry book. I explain my struggles, my thoughts, and my emotions. A lot of these poems were written after or during something. I show and explain how I feel daily when I overthink. It's about all of the things I never let go of in life. I learned a lot from this, especially that you can't outrun these problems. You can't let go of them either, because they mean too much to let go. This poetry book was more of a journal than a book itself, because usually when I was sad or something, I would write about it. In this poetry book, you will see a lot about love, because my whole life is built around that. I thank you for those who cheered me on throughout the making of this. I thank the people who cared enough to help me through these parts of my life. SECTION 1: ~a million words~ timespan: september - mid-december SECTION 2: ~the letters i never addressed~ timespan: december - january SECTION 3: ~a few more words... please.~ timespan: beginning of january - end of april In the early stages of this book. I cried a lot because I was scared to even write these poems. Knowing it will be the truth, and for once, people will know me for me. Because these problems aren't just mine. They are yours too, because it is so sad that a lot of teenagers go through a lot of the same things. To those who read this, thank you for taking your time to understand me. It means a lot, tons. Sometimes I think that others shouldn't worry about my issues or problems when they have their own to worry about. This happened a lot, and some of these poems were written with my tears. I thank YOU, for making me remember that people are here for me, no matter who they are. Along with that- Enjoy! I hope that you like this, as much as I did write it. It's my everyday thoughts, my emotions, my tears, and what I never would say to anyone a year ago. And I never let go of these things, because I just learned to live with them. Morgan Hayes
