But it runs out of gas, so you have to walk to the gas station back in town to get some. When you return, a strange feeling of anxiety washes over you, but you ignore it. And that's when you realize. You're not alone.

Polycystic ovarian syndrome, or PCOS, is a condition in which a woman's levels of the sex hormones estrogen and progesterone are out of balance. This leads to the growth of ovarian cysts (benign masses on the ovaries). It actually becomes malignant when it is not treated - it transforms to ovarian or uterus cancer. So what does it do? Makes you infertile - but that's a later thought, with its symptoms: severe acne, hair growth everywhere (stomach, breasts, neck), depression, obesity. How do you fix it? There's a hormonal therapy for it.
