This book is about a newly divorced woman's life in her recently obtained promotion at her job, handling friends and raising children.

After being abused for most of her life, now fourteen child services are finally removing Elaina from her mother and abusive father. She is now being sent to mother’s cousin. The only problem is that she lives in the middle of nowhere and the nearest town is at least thirty minutes away.
