[Freshman15s Contest Entry] Destiny is surely a cheeky jock. Renz Salvatore have lost all his will to live. Being tired of his mother's selfishness and being abandoned, he felt that his life was meaningless and has no purpose at all. For him, it was the moment of apocalypse but less did he know that salvation was coming. It was a special night in the glittering city, Renz bump into a doll-like girl. She was attractive enough to catch him off guard. But the thing that really caught his attention was her eyes. Her orbs were remarkably ash mauve in color and staring at it feels like being captured. Feeling trapped. Unable to forget the girl, he then started seeing gray and black strings attached to the necks and wrists of people he came across with. And every time he tries to touch those strings, he sees a slideshow of scenes where and how that person will die. Confused and a little bit scared, will Renz be able to find his purpose in life and the answers to all his questions? "I am here to seize your future. For the meantime, please take good care of my eyes."

Alyssa Singh has never gotten over her first love; maybe it was because of how he simply smiled off her confession as his family drove away. Three years later, he's back with a girlfriend, and the news that's he has always been deaf in his right ear all along. Shaken by the news, Alyssa wonders if she has the right to even think she was his friend since she never noticed. Freshman15s contest winner! Will be published in the COMMON ROOM ANTHOLOGY January 2015 When Kaiden toilet papered the Devoted Headquarters, he learned that instead of meeting his Soulmate on July 25th, he's going to die. And there's nothing he can do about it. Unless he agrees to a dangerous, high-stakes plan that will at best, erase everyone's memory of Kaiden and catapult him into a completely new world...
