"Don't you dare let go!" "Why in the world would I do that?!" A story in which two people meet in the most craziest of places. During what was supposed to be a fun little get away, both of them are thrown into what feels like the last moments of their lives. But, it just so happens that during these moments of chaos, love manages to spark a flame in the hearts of these two young kids while they are all trying to fight to stay alive.

Many thought the world would come to an end in 2030. But, what they didn't know was that on December 16, 2030, the catastrophic death of millions would bring about a new world. It started with a burst of light that emanated around the globe followed by a period of complete darkness. This forever changed the course of night and day, which is known simply as, the Inbetween. Many had gone underground in the days leading up to the end. Those who stayed above ground were either killed or 'enhanced' by the Toxin. The Toxin gave great abilities that seemed ultimately magical but came with a price... only males could survive it. Over the years the Toxin was passed through the generations. The new world not only brought this, but also a struggle for power over what was a newly reassembled Pangea. It was prophesied by a seer that one day there would be a girl with great power who would save the new world and bring about peace. She would be born during the millennium 3000 after the moon and the sun had combined to form a great darkness and then a burst of light would come for the first and last time, neither of which would never be seen again.
