Ellijah Reynolds was fine. He was getting through high school pretty okay. All he needed was some time for his friends and band. What more could he need than his grandma and her Harlequin novels, their yarn shop in bumfuck nowhere, and the truly terrible public school system.
Elvira Nguyen was not fine. Moving right before her senior year to some hick town was not the plan. Nothing of the past five years had gone to plan. She needed the normal she had five years ago and so much more. She just hoped the public school band program was still intact.
Jade Frye liked girls and was absolutely peachy keen. At least she liked to think she is. Nothing, and she means nothing, is going to get in the way of her being who she is. That's a fact.
Lane Green had a problem. A problem he couldn't speak to anyone about. Embarrassing is the only way to describe it. Totally and utterly embarrassing. He hoped and prayed no one found out.
Kam Frye couldn't believe he'd made it this far. He thought he'd surely be dead by now. All Kam wanted to do was make it to the end of the year and graduate without a hitch. Was that too much to ask?
