I was told to stay away from him, to keep my distance, to keep my eyes astray. I was told he's a monster, that he's dangerous, that he is unrideable. But I'd love a dance with the devil.

This is a story I wrote on July 3, 2017 when I was 16! It's been sitting and collecting dust in Google Docs since then and I'm finally mustering up the bravery to post it! It's a short story about a beautiful Friesian horse performing a flawless dressage performance. I hope you all enjoy, despite it being a very short read🫶🏻

Amber is bullied in her school. She feels so horrible and unhappy. Her mom is a busy lawyer and doesn't pay much attention to her. If that wasn't enough, she is bullied in her barn as well. But one four-legged thing keeps her going. Her horse Rosi. But one day the real Amber comes through and everybody regrets what they've said to her.

Ebony just wants to be free. The ranch is good enough for some horses, but not her. The others enjoy being combed, fed many times a day, and even being ridden, but she doesn't. It might be an easy life, but every time the wind blows through her mane she knows she must be freed.

They must stay safe from the dark riders, Ashen and make it out alive - with the help of some good soul riders along the way.
