The question of the One Ring demands a choice no elf can ignore, and she soon finds herself stepping onto a road darker and more dangerous than any she has known-joining the Fellowship bound for Mordor. Among their number is Legolas Greenleaf, whose past with Elenneth is tangled with unresolved conflict and unspoken wounds.
