A short story about Winter in the world of Menna

This story is inspired by the webtoon *Global Freeze*, a Korean manhwa that falls into the action, survival, and post-apocalyptic genres. The story is set in a world suddenly struck by an extreme ice age, forcing humanity to fight for survival in freezing conditions. It follows the protagonist as he navigates this harsh environment, facing deadly cold, mutated creatures, and other survivors who may not have good intentions. I decided to create a similar story where I am the main character. I used ChatGPT to write all the chapters, keeping the language simple so that everyone can easily read and enjoy the story. I didn't push myself too hard while writing this; my main goal was to explore whether AI could potentially replace human writers. I would greatly appreciate your valuable feedback on this story. ID stolen and sent off to the Academy, Skyler Reyes just aced her entrance trial. Except that she never took an entrance trial, and now everyone in the competitive military Academy is counting on someone who doesn't exist. In this frozen world, these kids are training for something outside the city walls they could never be prepared for. Skyler's training simulations don't even work properly... it's almost as if the Academy is all a hoax and the real world is through the simulations where you finally wake up.

Ashford Bennett-new kid in town, again. His dad's a single parent with a job that changes more often than Ashford changes schools. From desert towns to snowy suburbs, Ashford's life is basically one long game of "let's never settle down." He's tired, confused, slightly allergic to Maths, and just trying to keep his weirdness to a socially acceptable level. School? A mess. His Math teacher speaks in riddles, the Spanish teacher has spy energy, and the school nurse keeps hinting she knows "what he really is." (Whatever that means.) Ashford just wanted a chill, low-key life. Maybe a few friends, a cool hoodie, and to not almost die every other Thursday. But nooo-he gets dragged into a totally chaotic quest to unfreeze the world, deal with ancient secrets, dodge betrayal, and maybe save humanity from eternal ice popsicle doom. Not exactly what he planned when he packed his lunch this morning. This wasn't Ashford's idea. Not even close. But when destiny knocks (or in this case, kicks down your locker door), you kinda have to answer. So yeah... time to save the fricking world.

But when a last ditch research mission is sent to prove otherwise, what they uncover may challenge everything they thought possible about space.

Us humans, are watchers. We are here to study, protect and care for the whole world that surrounds us. We outer passed our job. So now nature is mad at us. What should we do ? I actually don't know. The future that's in front of us is clear and we can't escape it. Now we should make the dystopia awaiting us become an utopia. A true real world in which mankind wouldn't destroy his surrounding and its own self. An ice world, purifying and destroying everything all in one, is kind of the best way to start again. We could just start trying to unravel our own mistakes. It's not mistakes of the past, it's all misunderstandings and ignorance. We can do this right ? Can we help ourselves cure the ache we made blossom in this world ? It's all twisted. We refuse to listen. We refuse to look forward. All we can do is say that everything seems to be deteriorating around us and we just wouldn't listen to the ones who could have contributed to help slow this tide. It's a huge wave coming up and down, drowning the world in oil and shimmers. Our eyes are full of glitter and comfort. Well, why should we refuse this comfort we have now only in order to repair what others made wrong ? Yes that's true, let's all disappear stifled in fabrics and wires. Then if you people reading this agree with me, let me do the only thing I know in order to help myself, let me write my utopia. Life is fun, I'll enjoy it. We will all die whatever, then why fight ? Human has no defined purpose in the world it was born in. They have no rights of toying with the nature. They did wrong with the powers they have. They wrongly used their knowledge. Now it's maybe time to use it in the right way, don't you think ?
