Aurelia wins the lottery to escape her doomed planet. The prize: temporary marriage to a quirky star ship Captain, Illion, in exchange for a new life. What she didn't expect was to fall in love. Aurelia, with a sour attitude but a heart of gold, quickly falls for Illion's overdramatic persona. And likewise, Illion, finds solace in his new wife, who seems to understand his insanity more than he does himself. But what seems like an idyllic situation soon devolves into chaos. When the malfunctioning ship is catapulted into an unknown part of the galaxy, Illion finds himself neck deep in passenger riots. And when a fleet of barbaric aliens picks up on their location, it's only a matter of time before everyone becomes space dust!! Will Illion and Aurelia be able to stick together, or will their turbulent ride be the end of their relationship, and everyone on board The Marillion? Dreamgates is a project that I have been working on for years now. An idea that has exploded into many branching concepts that I don't think I've seen anyone put together in a story before. It has its ties to the internet based urban legend known as the Backrooms, but takes a mighty big twist on the concept. Simply because 1). I of course want to write an original story, and 2). It has grown beyond simply existing in a world of liminal spaces and has grown as I have grown. I have always seen people argue whether or not the Backrooms should have monsters in it. Keep the liminality! The psychological horror is where it stands the strongest! And I agree to an extent. Dreamgates will have both, in balance, but aside from being a horror story- it will be heavily character driven. A sci fi fantasy mystery. A deep look into philosophy and culture and the fate of the universe. It will be mind bending. A survival game. A battle royale. A hunt. And a show. A world full of dark horrors both man and monster. A world full of light and hope, seeking a new purpose in life. This is Dreamgates in every way and more. I welcome you to enjoy the read~

She is the Empress, and by her side stands Sovereign Ezer, the man who vows to protect her from a forgotten past. But beneath the pearlescent glow of this paradise, something pulses in the shadows. As she tries to navigate her new life, echoes from other places begin to emerge. Beneath the perfection lies ZØNE, the cyberpunk underworld where chaos reigns; and the Stellar Abyss, a horizon of bioluminescence beyond the domes of Enyris, where many of the answers about her true identity seem to be buried. Lumina begins to realize that every returning fragment of memory brings a heavy price: understanding what happened before the blackout.
