Throughout *Glee*, Finn and Quinn were often written as complicated and messy-but there was always something there that never fully went away.
This story takes place during Season 3 and explores what could have happened if they were given the space to actually deal with everything they never got closure on. From Beth's return into their lives, to unfinished conversations about their breakups, Finn and Quinn are forced to face the history they've both been avoiding for too long.
Meanwhile, McKinley High is anything but simple. Finn is balancing leadership in both football and New Directions, trying to keep people together as relationships shift in every direction. Noah Puckerman is running out of ways to avoid his own feelings, Rachel Berry is starting to question what she really wants, and Kurt Hummel refuses to be anyone's temporary choice.
And in this version of McKinley, Matt Rutherford never left-changing the dynamic in ways no one fully expected.
Everyone is moving forward.
Just not in the same direction.
And some things don't stay buried forever.
