We own our lives We have the power to control at least some things in it such as divorce and that's if we care enough but if we fail in our responsibilities for ourselves and loved ones, we have only ourselves to blame. My name is Uyai Golden Henshaw, I'm a ten year old, I once had a home, a true one at that but I lost it to my parents divorce. Like every other person in my shoes, life has lost it real taste and I just want to shut down but my younger brother needs me around and I am still debating on that...... Ana married a man who has had a boy(Ntekim) and a girl(Uyai) from his first wife. Uyai refused to accept Ana as a replacement for her biological mother since her parents divorced. From youth Ana has always desired to birth only three children in life irrespective of the gender but when she finally reconciled with the love of her life, she discovered that he's impotent and to add to her worries, his only daughter didn't accept her as a stepmother. Uyai's rejection hit her like a good punch and it immediately birth her desire to birth her biological daughter who will accept and love her unconditionally but how is she going to birth her biological children especially her desired biological daughter with an impotent husband and will she ever win the love and acceptance of her stepdaughter? Rebecca always thought she had a perfect life: a house, a job, a partner. Why then did she storm out of the restaurant where she was having dinner with her boyfriend and her parents? Well, she didn't know, but, for sure, she was enraged like never before. In her wandering, Rebecca eventually got tired and cold. Luckily for her, she "met" Julian, who will, sometimes unintentionally or even reluctantly, help her.
