The Fabulous Four work seamlessly. They're good at what they do, extracting and creating and bombing and stealing from Better Living Industries, keeping the desert's group of killjoys alive. At least, they were. Until someone had a shot too many, in more ways than one. And they don't know how to fix whatever the hell broke them in the first place, not without interventions and yelling and empty threats that evolve back into something a little less than normal.

Persephone romanticises everything... Apart from relationships. She meets Alex for a split second and romanticises the moment. But after spending 24 hours with him, she suppresses it and doesn't revisit it ever again. Or does she? Why doesn't she trust Alex? Why can't she bring herself to accept that there's something going on between her and Alex? It's in first person, but it's not shit (I think). This is technically an Alex Turner fanfiction, but can be read as a normal story (I think). 8/3/19 #12 fulllength #469 alexturner

These 7 poems are a sample from the full-length collection Welcome to the Sombre Days. The poems take the reader on the author's journey of childhood, one where he was different and did not belong. As children, we do not think about queer identities or undiagnosed autism, and that ignorance of not-knowing brings more feelings of not belonging with one's peers. The rest of the collection continues with the themes of adolescence and coming out, mental health (depression, alcohol use and suicide attempt), as well as reforging the own self into a new identity upon recovery .
