After the meteor hit, a shock wave surrounded the earth. Since then the wind hasn't stopped. The world's once ecstatic energy is slowly diminishing. Nicolas is having second thoughts about disobeying the police's very precise and specific orders. Never before had he seen so much electric activity, anywhere. The sky lit up and the bright jagged streaks across the sky scorched the earth. As the lightning came closer it wasn't very long before one found its way right through the center of Nico's heart. Julian being the "perfect" guy that he is had no intention of staying up after dark. Sadly, when the roads are closed and there's no where to go, staying put is his only option. But when a flaming tornado is spiraling out of control toward you staying put is a ridiculous idea. Nicolas and Julian are the only thing standing between ultimate destruction and a place where you can walk to school without experiencing a natural disaster. With as many obstacles and delays in the way as there are seconds in a day, they were chosen for the task at hand.

One day, during one of Amelia's and Dean's gab fests, a black van screeched to a halt next to them and 3 people in black grabbed Dean while one was trying to fight Amelia off.No matter how much she tried to hurt them, they pulled her back. She watched in vain as Dean was thrown into the van. The man holding her off, hit her on the head. Hard. And then it all went black.
