She was invisible long before she became a monster.
After her father died, the world around her seemed to keep moving while hers completely stopped. At school, she drifted through crowded hallways unnoticed, sitting alone at lunch and avoiding conversations she didn't have the energy to survive. People called her quiet, but grief had simply hollowed her out. Her house felt colder without him. Every room reminded her of someone she could never get back. Then she met him.
He was strange, beautiful, and unsettling the kind of person who looked almost unreal. While everyone else kept their distance, she became obsessed. Watching him distracted her from the emptiness she carried every day. For the first time since her father's death, she felt something stronger than sadness.
But obsession became addiction.
The more she followed him into his dark world, the more she lost herself. Sleep disappeared. Her grades slipped. Reality blurred into late night encounters, secrets, and blood stained promises. And when he finally turned her into a vampire, she thought the pain would end. Instead, it changed her into something cruel.
Immortality numbed the grief but destroyed what remained of her humanity. The lonely girl who once wanted comfort became cold, violent, and emotionally detached. Her hunger consumed everything her memories, her innocence, even the part of her that still missed her father. The more evil she became, the less human he felt in her memories, until she feared forgetting his voice completely. She wanted escape from grief. What she became was far worse than grief itself.
