Hybrids have come a long way since their initial release into the world by scientists, but not everything's perfect, so that's why ETA was formed--a co-ed dormitory high school where hybrids and humans can learn and grow together in order to see the resemblances and differences they have in each other. The school is almost every Hybrid's dream with it's inclusive initiative and seemingly well maintained staff, but despite it's inclusivity only a fifty to a hundred Hybrids are admitted yearly compared to the other thousand humans that the school manages to enroll, so chances of getting in are slim.
Hunter's a teenage hybrid with some baggage from a terrible past that now roams the streets treated as nothing more than a fleabag. Somehow, despite not having a home or any money, he was the top of his class in middle school with an almost perfect grade, so of course ETA offered him a scholarship spot and a free ride to one of the top spots on the waitlist. Hunter almost instantly accepts, knowing that this was his one shot at going somewhere in life.
When he arrives though, it's very different then from the pamphlets and posters that littered the alleys. The dorms were almost all human, and the few Hybrids that he could find were almost always nowhere to be seen, avoiding the wrath of these humans. Though there's one influence that's greater than any human or Hybrid at the school.
Knox Autumn.
Rumoured to be a cold-hearted antisocial with a knack for expelling Hybrid students and parents who owned the biggest anti-Hybrid association on Earth. Though, after Hunter experiences a chance encounter with said King of the school, Hunter is forced to face him, as well as a few festering feelings, head-on. Will he be able to graduate and live the life he's always wanted? Or will everything crumble around him until he's forced to return back to the place he just barely escaped?
(ETA is my first long form book ever, so I hope to use this as my baseline and continue improving)
