Dreams are hard to give up when unexpected injuries happen. Airi couldn't live up to the reputation in her family after taking a ball to the knee. So she ran to a school that would hold no expectations of her. But even in her second year at Seidou High, Airi continued to watch from the sidelines as the baseball teams strived for new heights. Watching the girls' team broke her heart, and the boys team left her longing for the competitive atmosphere of striving for the mound again as she watched her fellow second years compete for the title of ace. Pitching again never crossed her mind until she met him.

Furuya Amaterasu is the young sister of Furuya Satoru. Despite not being not anywhere nearly as naturally gifted as her older brother. She is still a talented pitcher and has decided to attend Inashiro Industrial high school. A school that is in direct contention with Seido high School where Satoru attends. She wants to beat her brother and go to nationals with her team. There is just one catch Amaterasu is Blind in her left eye.
