Before I Could Call You Mine There was a time when I didn't know your name. I didn't know where you were, what you were becoming, or whether you were already somewhere in this world living a life completely separate from mine. And yet, somehow, I began writing to you. Not because I knew you. But because I believed that someday, there might be a person whose heart would understand mine in ways I couldn't yet imagine. This isn't a story about how we met. It is the story of everything that came before. The prayers. The hopes. The little dreams. The things I wondered about you without knowing who you were. The person I was becoming while somewhere, you were becoming yourself too. A collection of thoughts, letters, memories, dreams and pieces of my heart written for a person whose name I couldn't write at the beginning of the book. Maybe someday, you'll sit beside me and read these pages. Maybe you'll laugh at the things I imagined completely wrong. Maybe you'll recognize yourself in the things I hoped for. And maybe, when you reach the last page, you'll understand why I called this book- Before I Could Call You Mine. Because perhaps our story didn't begin when we met. Perhaps this was simply the first chapter I knew how to write.

I wonder how I keep my insanity in this world. It's so cruel towards me, what did I do wrong? Was losing my father not enough? Being humiliated in front of the entire school?
