"Scits says you're trying to hurt us," Riley said in a wobbly voice as he stood up from his bed, pressing the palm of his hand against his pounding head due to the screaming coming from Scits.
"Scits? Is that what you call the voice in your head?" The researcher asked him, writing everything down.
Riley could only stare ahead at the wall across the room, trying to get all his thoughts collected so he could accurately verbalize what he needed to say. "You don't understand," he practically whined, "this infection, this virus... its changed me. Scits has always been there, its given him the power to speak to me. If you cure me I'll lose Scits
and I can't let that happen."
"You are very sick, Riley."
"No. I'm evolving."
