Ever since Sang Servilia was a little girl, she loved space. She's finally finished her training at the Aldrin Academy and has been handpicked by the Grand Council of Terra to become the next Interstellar Ambassador to the stars. Now, she just needs a team to accompany her- enter the E'nrne B'ckl team (roughly translated to Blackbourne), an elite team of intelligent life from across the galaxies. The team expects to be leading around a clueless, stupid Terran aristocrat who wants to pet every single animal that looks remotely like a dog. Broken and living a life where she doesn't have to interact with any people, Jess crashing into said life forces Sang Sorenson to admit there is more out there. As Jess helps out more on the reserve and finds herself, Sang starts to meet some of Jess's family and experiences things she has no idea how to deal with.
