Izuku Midoriya was born into a world that had no place for him. In a society where eighty percent of humanity wields a unique superpower called a Quirk, Izuku is part of the powerless twenty percent, and in this world, the landscape has already been transformed by the emergence of these mysterious dimensional Gates that demand the very best of Pro Heroes. The world needed the service of Heroes now than ever, and being Quirkless feels less like misfortune and more like a useless bystander forced to watch from the sidelines. However, it it all changes on an ordinary afternoon on a trash-covered beach, when a strange circular device leaps from the sand and embeds itself into his wrist. The Summoner Simulation Device or Sid, as Izuku comes to call it, is the an device of unknown origin with corrupted records and one very clear purpose: to make its registered user the "Director" of an elite, multi-classification task force built to face the threat of the Gates. Through Sid, Izuku gains access to a gacha-style summoning system capable of pulling real, living entities from across dimensional boundaries, creatures, machines, humans, fantasy beings, and demons, each with their own personalities, capabilities, histories, and needs. Now armed with the power to fight against Villains and the Gates, Izuku will have to adapt to this strange new "power" and his new role as "Director."
