At first they must rely on others, but when something incredible happens, she finds her life being changed forever. This is her story. This is how she survived. And this is how she learned to live. We all feel alone. Some point or an other in your life you will feel this. Some people will know what to do about it, others may not. There's people like me who know...but we "can't" do anything...it's too hard...especially when you're "alone". You want that company or someone, a group, the support of your family. Maybe you have it, but it's not enough when they don't understand, when you can't even show or explain it to them. They don't even know how you feel. You didn't tell them.

Escher Griffith is young. Far too young to be loving a boy according to her town. Because when you live in Denver, you're life is controlled by the church. That means no partying, no late curfews, appropriate clothing, and certainly no falling in love before you're old enough to understand love at all. Escher is fine with all of this, just fine. You would sooner be able to move the sun.than convince her to sleep with you. Until J.R Milligan. The class clown with the goofy laugh and the stupid jokes. The boy whose father died. The boy her mother would never have approved of. The boy that makes a bet with his friends that he can sleep with Escher before the end of the school year. Will one bet go unnoticed?
