There's an alien ship hovering over Lake Thurmond in Georgia, and my life is about to change forever. My name is Michael Layton. Or at least, that's what I thought it was. Before the ship arrived, my life made sense. I was the son of a powerful tech CEO, a recent MIT graduate, and an engineer with my whole life planned. Privileged, sure. But human. Earthbound. Then a massive black ship appeared, broadcast live across every channel, proving humanity was never alone. That should have been the biggest revelation of my life, but it wasn't. That same day, I discovered my parents had been hiding dangerous secrets. The greatest of them all? The ship everyone was watching came from a distant galaxy called Ethia... and it didn't come to conquer Earth. It came for me. Whether I go or stay is my decision. But either choice will cost me everything I've ever known. Empire's Son is a soft science fiction story with light fantasy elements that spans multiple galaxies. It follows a young man from Earth whose life is forever changed when he's forced to return to an Empire he has no memory of and a future he never wanted. This is a slow-burn, character-driven story filled with discovery, found family, political intrigue, and an ever-expanding universe. It is the first step into the epic world of the EthiaVerse. What to expect: Slow-burn progression Character-driven storytelling A hopeful, compassionate protagonist Found family Political intrigue and mystery Soft science fiction with light fantasy elements Expanding worldbuilding across an interconnected series Occasional profanity and suggestive or sexual content, but no explicit scenes

''Man's best friend.'' ''The one you least suspect.'' Picture this; Two extraterrestrial operatives. One black, one white. One curly, one silky. One diligent, one... well -- not as diligent. Nevertheless, both have been paired together, and assigned to a Low-Priority Celesphere by the name of Earth. Their objective is loud and clear: 1.) Blend in among the dominant inhabitants without raising suspicion. 2.) Gather valuable intel on said inhabitants' strengths and weaknesses. 3.) Exploit those weaknesses and usurp the planet as their own territory. Like a wolf in sheep's clothing; And all in the name of the ever-expanding Cana'Nin Empire. Rest assured, these pitiful Earthlings won't know what hit them. That is, if Ms. Adrieau's two "pets" ever get around to it. Though to cut 'em some slack, planetary conquest is no simple task. Especially when there're squirrels to investigate, mail carriers to monitor, and belly rubs to be had.

A galaxy once protected by warriors known as the Luminars - wielders of a powerful cosmic force called the Lumaether - now stands broken and divided. When the first Luminar was born, humanity split into two factions, each interpreting the Lumaether differently. In the war that followed, the Luminars vanished, and the galaxy fell into chaos. The Lumaether is now feared, yet secretly yearned for. Only those touched by it can wield the legendary Luma Blades or Luma Staves. To others, these weapons are inert, like relics from forgotten gods. The rest of the galaxy relies on steel, plasma, and gunfire.

There was a time when a race of skeletons existed in mass groups, their race was called 'The Winged Skeletons', some were angelic, some demonic, some dragonic, and some bird like. But one day the humans killed them all... Or so they think. Four winged skeletons were able to survive the mass genocide of their race, because they were to small for the humans to see them. They were lucky that they had been affected by a mutation that caused them to become tiny, also known as becoming a species called Bittys. One was angelic, the second was demonic, the third was dragonic and the fourth was bird like. Even though they are small, they each have 1000 times the amount of magic of their entire kind combined. They soon travel the multiverse until they find a white void. They stay there as they finally found a peaceful place to stay. They then find a wounded skeleton, and heal him. The four survivors are beyond enraged at this and they stay with him, changing his DESTINY. After all, DESTINY is stronger than FATE, as it is ever changing with a choice.

Among the power-struggling ranks of dictatorship, murmurs of the tragedy begun to rise. Civilisations crumbling in their wake, rebellions tried and failed to form and stand to the towering figures of the Falcon Empire. Countless murders, immeasurable amounts of planets gone. Had they even thought to count? This suffering was long in motion, and it seemed as if the universe itself was beginning to fade. But then, a new light in the sky had appeared. Not a star, for sure. But it was.. glowing. It was hopeful. It was a force that not a sorry soul could deserve, but most undoubtedly needed under the rule of the Falcon Empire. A glimmering silhouette in the unstable sunlight, a pistol in hand, had successfully torn through one of their armies, and had begun to decompose the Falcon Empire's rule, one planet at a time. The murmurs.. were they getting louder? Perhaps. But the universe had now grown a new sense of rebellion, one that may stand a growing chance. And with that, the Aurora was born.

This story follows the journal entries of a stormtrooper by the name of Rocc Barryell. Throughout the history of Star Wars, many have had very little knowledge of what exactly being a stormtrooper is like and often relate them having horrible aim. But what if we were to take a deep dive into the life of one? Take a look inside the mind of the individual behind the faceless helmet and see a person, instead of cannon fodder. This story is formatted in the style of a screenwrite. This story is an active work in progress and would appreciate all kinds of criticism to help better my writing direction for this story.
