When a ship arrives in the harbour of Terim with the insignia of Galbatorix, Queen Nasuada sends a contingent of soldiers to find out the truth behind some bizarre rumours...the Galbatorix's son is returning to Alagaësia.

It has been 1 year since galbatorix was killed and eragon and his elven friends have found a home out of alagasia. Eragon meets an unfamiliar being on his flight with Saphira. The being is powerful enough to take over the whole alagasia and stop Eragon. Eragon is unsure if it will keep the peace or turn on them all.

*SPOILERS* It has been two months since Eragon & Saphira left Alagaesia. Finally, they have found a sanctuary for the Eldunari & a new generation of Riders - the ancient home of an ancient race. Back home, something has riled King Orrin in Surda to the south, & the seat beside Queen Nasuada's throne has been filled by a werecat with his own agenda. Arya is once more egg-bearer: from the new Urgal city to Tronjheim. She & Fírnen are followed in their quest by a shadowy creature, impossible to shake & known only by its green cloak & strange weapon. While Nasuada attempts to reunite Alagaesia & fend off dangers in her own castle, while Arya & Fírnen seek the next Rider, while Eragon & Saphira begin the task of taming the wild Mor'rangrind, Murtagh & Thorn journey north for adventure & redemption. In an encounter with a nameless foe, they find a purpose in defending everything the Riders hope to build. Inspired by & based on Christopher Paolini's series 'The Inheritance Cycle.'

Lena, a pretty normal girl from Earth, suddenly finds herself in Alagaesia, a world full of magic and creatures of fantasy. It is there that she learns about the prophecy, a prophecy about how a girl from Earth is supposed to come to Alagaesia in their time of need. Yet, Lena soon discovers that she is not alone; Morgan, another girl from Earth and Lena's sworn enemy, is also in Alagaesia. What happens when the two girls learn of each others existence? Many wonder, few truly know what happened to Galbatorix after Jarnunvösk was killed.

10 years after the fall of Galbatorix and the start of the rule of Queen Nasauda, the dragon riders return and they bring exciting news. There is a new opening to be a rider. Maria is 18 and still live in the city of Tierm at an orphanage. She helps out with chores and runs errands. Whenever she hears of the riders coming to Teirm to find a new dragon rider, she becomes excited. Then she heard that when the egg entered the gates of Teirm, it started to shake rapidly. Dragon Slayer Ornstein, Hawkeye Gough, Lord's blade Ciaran, and Wolf Knight Artorias. Once un-needed, they all went their seperate ways. Ornstein wen't to protect Gwyn's daughter Gwyndolin, Ciaran left to a land unknown and Gough wandered to find a new beginning. Artorias however, wished to continue his crusade against the forces of darkness and spread Gwyn's holy light throughout the lands. Armed with his sword and wolf companion Sif, he decides to battle an ancient evil that was stirring in the darkness of a mysterious land of Oolacile. The darkness of Manus, the Primeval Man, Father of the Abyss. Artorias believed that he would be able to defeat such a foe, but ended up being consumed by the very darkness he wished to rid from the world. Now broken, he awaits his death anxiously, in hopes to finally be free. When he does die however, something happens that he doesn't expect. He finds himself where dragons are both, his allies and his enemies. Where elves, dwarves, and demonic creatures called urgals live amongst humans. He finds a world ripe with stories and light, and finds that he was given a second chance. At a holy crusade once again. But will he truly be rid of the darkness that consumed him?
