After the remaining Gladers are transported into Paradise, they begin life anew. Gally tries to make amends by befriending Thomas and learning to be nice again. The others start to realize that Gally has changed, which prompts questions about his past and old self. Everyone wants to know why he was such a nuisance to people back in the Glade, and wether he remembers his life before that. Gally refuses to answer any questions and instead, relies on Thomas to aid him in his journey to heal himself. After a while of their friendship going on, Thomas starts to wonder about Gally's past too but never asks him anything. Well, not until he realizes he knows next to nothing about the former Keeper of the Builders. He is determined to find out the answer to the question that has been going through his mind for a long time. Who is Gally? (Thomas has been in the maze for two months prior to the beginning of the story, and the events in the Movie will take place quite a bit later into the story) Teresa wasn't the first girl to arrive in the Glade, she wasn't even the second. She was in fact the third. The two girls who arrived together, Daisy-Joy and Colleen had been in the Glade months before Teresa! The two girls arrived from the Box conscious, but extremely disoriented, confused, and frightened. Both of them mentally in a much worse shape than any of the past Greenies. They are plagued with constant short-term memory loss, discombobulation, and nightmares for several days upon their arrival; and realizing the girls' difficulty to adapt to their new surroundings, the Gladers unhesitatingly vow to protect the two girls, and help them begin their new life as the Glade's first female residents. Amid the trials they go through to take care of the girls, all the boys promptly come to adore their kind, innocent, joyful, bubbly personalities. Immediately, Colleen and Newt are infatuated with each other; and Daisy-Joy instantly feels safe, protected, and cherished with Gally, who in turn is extremely protective over her and comes to reveal his love for her. One thing after another happens to the Gladers, yet they always persevere through; testifying the group's strength of community and familial support. {If you don't like gentle, innocent girl characters who aren't/and won't become bada**es or girl bosses; this story probably won't be your cup of tea🌸, but please feel absolutely free to read anyway, but please don't hate my girls🥺 my best friend and I have spent a year, tinkering on this story together} (I obviously do not own Maze Runner, the Main Characters, nor the main plot. A Gally X OC, Maze Runner Fanfiction. It's an odd feeling. Knowing that I'm the only girl. Knowing that no matter what I do, I'll always be an outsider inside these walls. The boys try so hard to make things better, and I love them for it, but sometimes it's just not enough. I pray every month for another girl to appear out of the box, so maybe I won't feel so alone, and every month I'm disappointed. I have to get out of here. But I'm terrified of leaving him behind, and I know he'll refuse to leave.
