Ginny lives in a secluded cottage on a magical version of earth under the reign of dragons. She's been able to stay out of their way, until a small, injured dragon appears in her garden, asking for her help. And for some reason, she gives it. Written for the 2026 open novella contest, prompt #3: "You don't expect much excitement in your quiet garden until the day a dragon suddenly appears among the flowers"

What just happened?" I ask aloud, shaking my head to dispel the fog clouding it. "Pa?" "Honey!" I called out for my husband. "Paaaa!" I shouted, my voice slicing through the stillness, desperation lacing each syllable. Silence hung in the air, a heavy blanket that muffled the echoes of mundane chores and chatter. A lingering sense of confusion settled in... Wait, where did everyone go? Helloooo! As I rose unsteadily and swept my gaze across the landscape, a chill crept up my spine. Instead of the garden I had imagined myself to be, I found an alien environment that sent my heart racing! I stood right there, shadows lingering around me, as if the world had forgotten to move on without me. A distant animal cry echoes, a reminder that nature thrives in its rawest form. Here, the world feels alive, unrestrained, and fierce. Every rustle of leaves and distant call of a creature echo the raw beauty of a wilderness, shaking me to my core. How the f*ck did I get here? I never left. I was in the same place, but somewhere in another era, at another time.. Enchantment, mysticism, and wonder all come together. Step into a world where the boundaries of the real and the imagined blur as the fabric of time and space intertwine. The Myth of Ayu Indah is about an Aboriginal beauty and her struggles to belong in ancient times; and the other, a contemporary woman who appears to have lost her enchantment while adjusting to life in the country following a recent move. Both are seeking fulfillment in life. Transported to a bygone age through a dream journey that crossed time, where the protagonist unearthed hidden truths that led to her transformative journey of self-discovery. In the end, they both realized that the capacity-the power-to uncover the enduring, awe-inspiring beauty of simply existing and being loved lies within them all along.

"All I want, all I've ever wanted was to be free. To not have to look over my shoulder, waiting for a monster to pop up from the shadows and spirit me away." Isabella laughs, the sound wet and scared. She wipes a tear from her face and looks down at the floor, wrapping her arms around herself. "We'll help you Isabella. We will." Richard says, frowning at his friend's clear distress. Isabella looks up at that, her lips twisted in a half-smile. "Thank you Ricky. I appreciate it. This is something I have to do myself. I put it off for so long... and it's followed me here. It's followed me to where my heart is." Stella sighs and wraps her arms around her friend, holding her tightly. "It's been so long Isabella. How can you love someone you met all of two times?" Isabella looks at the wolf, shoulders shaking with sobs. "How could I forget the one person who made me feel safe?" ... Isabella Aella has been running from her past for as long as she can remember. She's been running away and running toward something. Or rather, someone. Her mate, Arsenio Agrona of the Agrona Pack, son to the Alpha. Knowing she can't be with him, she keeps herself away, vowing to be strong and purge herself of her demons alone. But nobody can get rid of him alone. Not without dying themselves.

The trees, flowers, plants and other growth outside. We tend to ignore their presence and forget about nature's calling. We need to return and open our eyes about what makes up our world. The natural world is far more dynamic than it looks.

Of the 550 plus poems I have written through time, these 11 collections contain about 285 of my favorite ones. Most of the total collection is on the Poetizer website under my name. This current volume may not be some of my best poems, but it is sacred to me. My wife of 40 years passed away during this tumultuous time. I will never be the same person again. I have been places in my mind that I have never been before. Places I never want to go again. I love you Dorothy with all my heart. There are also three of my poems at the end that I collected from an older rose internet site that I am in the process of closing down. While writing this collection I was struggling with the loss of my wife. I thought I would add some of these older poems here so this volume would not be so sad.

Pin is out gardening taking care of her garden in the middle of fall! The harsh cold winds don't help either.... Now she stuck home sick, Great...! but with her pal Coiny by her side she'll never feel alone.. Will she..?

Over the past 40 years, I have written in excess of 500 poems. Of course, some of them are better than others. This book contains 25 more of my favorite and personally meaningful poems. I hope you enjoy them.
