You are Wirt's best friend, however you've grown to love him and his dorkiness. You've been through everything with him, but will you stay with him through the Unknown? Over the Garden Wall, and deep into the woods, there is a garden. Wirt never thought, not even in his wildest dreams, that he would return to the woods. Not after Greg almost turned to Edelwood. Of course, that was before Beatrice's brother turned up on Wirt's doorstep begging for their help. Wirt must return to the woods in order to save Beatrice and her little sister. But not everything is so black and white. The beast has returned and the Garden Wall is under threat. Both worlds, the woods and the town, are in danger. It is up to Wirt to save them all. Better be ware, The beast is out there, Better be wise, Don't believe his lies.

Mary is the next door neighbour to half brothers Wirt and Greg. Slowly over time her feelings for the elder, Wirt, grew into something more then friends but she has to keep her feelings to herself. When the three get lost in the never ending woods, they have to work together in order to get home, and they gain help from special friends along the way.
