(Reader is gender neutral) You've seen Garnet around before, while babysitting Steven or just walking around town. A while ago, though, something about the mysterious gem sparked and interest in you, and you soon developed a crush on her. Maybe it was her stoic yet confident demeanour, or maybe it was Steven's glorified stories of her. Either way you would do anything to at least get to know the gem you fell for. But you wouldn't exactly say you're the most charismatic person, and you're starting to doubt your ability to win her over.

This here's a Garnet x Reader story that I'd thought I'd make. I'd like to point out that I've read other fanfictions to get inspiration, but under no circumstances do I intend on copying them, this story is basically a mix and mash of ideas I've had. Fair warning, this story is still a heavy WIP, and there will be slight deviations from canon. Any and all constructive criticism and tips are appreciated!
