"You like me?" Sebastian stared at her through his deep, hazel eyes, and she stared right back. Although the longer she stared, the more it felt as if she was sinking deeper into his gaze. "Yes." Sofiya's voice trembled, "And... I was too afraid to tell you-" "Why wouldn't you tell me?" The Slytherin cut in, taking her hands in his gentle grasp. "B-Because," The girl looked down at their interlocked hands. "Because it hurt to like you, Sebastian. After everything we've been through, after not speaking over the summer, after the grudge I held against you for doing so." The girl inhaled sharply, her now teary-eyed gaze snapping up toward Sebastian, "How was I meant to speak to you after that..?" "Then, when I realized I liked you, it hurt. I thought I would never have you, Sebastian. Yet, this entire time, I tried to convince myself: 'It only hurts this much right now'." --------- After the events of 5th year, Sofiya spends the summer relaxing as much as she can, reconnecting with her friends and using their support to recover from all the trauma she endured. However, the main person who she had started to consider her best friend toward the end of the year never responded to her owl. There was no contact between them at all, ever since their last conversation in the Undercroft. Incredibly hurt, Sofiya decides to give in to this game he was playing. If he didn't want to speak to her for the entire summer, then she wouldn't talk to him for the entire year. No matter what she was feeling for him, it all died the moment she returned to Hogwarts. The storm roared in the distance, powerful, dark and furious. The rain had long since soaked through the thin layer of her clothes, yet she couldn't move. The cold had no hold on her, it was as if nothing made sense any more. The world had stopped turning and there was just her and this grave. Beth let her tears roll down her cheeks, disappearing among the drops of water. All her efforts, all her sacrifices, all her losses. It wasn't fair. She wanted to die, to take his place and disappear. This was the way things were, fixed, engraved, definitive and now she had to keep her promise. A hand rested gingerly on her shoulder and she recognised Professor Weasley. The teacher was protecting her from the weather with her wand. It's time. Even if she would have preferred it otherwise. A group of seven friend's are on a mission. Rumour has it Meredith Atom, the new fifth year, holds a power like no other. She holds the ability to yield ancient magic. This ability holds a great relevance to defeating famous dark wizards, Rookwood and Harlow, and the extremely powerful goblin, Ranrok. Meredith's arrival to Hogwarts sprung many students interests, causing an immediate following to start. One her first day she meets Sebastian Sallow, who then introduces her to Ominis Gaunt. Sebastian and Meredith immediately kick it off, with Sebastian explaining his family's story and Meredith relating. Ominis was not so sure on the new girl though. A few day's later Sebastian take's his new friend and Ominis to Feldcroft where Meredith meets Sebastians twin and his younger sister, Carla. Standing besides Carla is a friend of her own, one who is in the same year as Sebastian hence being a year older than her. How does this encounter impact the Wizarding World?

Following the events of fifth year, a new adventure awaits for Norah Lee. Boys, exams, school events, common room parties, and old foes outside of Hogwarts. Even battling pensieve guardians was easier than this. Characters are aged up (even if the story's got them in sixth year) to make it more appropriate. Time period is leaning towards the modern day so in case you might find anachronisms in the dialogue or references, this is why. This may also be quite a lengthy fic too. I really can't stress enough that the time period is leaning more to modern day than the 1890s.

Violet is back at Hogwarts, starting as a 7th year along with her friends. After having such a terrible 5th and 6th year, Violet is in need of a break but some people think otherwise. With her friends at her side and a certain red headed wizard, she will certainly have a good year but we may never know.
