A sequel of "Love will rescue" it was two years ago after when Sabine and Ezra were captured by the Empire, since after when Ezra return to Atollon the rebel base from his Coruscant adventure. Now Ezra decides to spend time with his girlfriend Sabine Wren as they travel to Concord Dawn to go on a mission along with Fenn Rau and Chopper. Meanwhile Darth Maul, the former sith has plans for Ezra he talks with Gar Saxon to sent someone to find Ezra's weakness and make him to turn on the dark side. When the spy returns to Gar and told him that the padawan's weakness is: Sabine Wren. Ezra will do what he can to save Sabine and not joining the dark side.

The galaxy has now become a darker and lonelier place for Maul, after the death of his brother, mother, collapse of his Shadow Collective. However, one of his allies, Rook Kast, who has exhibited fanatical loyalty and reverence towards the former Sith Lord, may in fact become something more than just another disposable pawn in his designs.
