A story where two fuck-ups fall in love. Jade Davis didn't believe in love, it was something for princesses in fairytales, not super powered teenagers in America. That was until she met a certain bird.

Doris Smith is a muscular, pale and giving police officer from the hood. Her life's going nowhere until she meets Garth Trescothick, a slim, pudgy man with a passion for food. Doris takes an instant disliking to Garth and the selfish and rude ways he learned during his years in the hood. However, when a shark tries to rob Doris, Garth springs to the rescue. Doris begins to notices that Garth is actually rather courageous at heart. But, the pressures of Garth's job as a Dealer leave him blind to Doris's affections and Doris takes up boxing to try and distract himself. Finally, when a cowardly author, Kate Humble, threatens to come between them, Garth has to act fast. But will they ever find the angsty love that they deserve?
