Garu may be one of the strongest male Ninjas out there, but even he can't protect himself from everything. And that includes Pocca and illness. So what does Garu do when he comes down with a high fever? He hides in his house to try and not attach the attention of one particularly persistent girl. That doesn't work out though as Pucca comes over to try and spend time with "her boyfriend" and finds a delirious Garu opening the door.

When a goddess falls in love with a warrior from a rival clan, her love becomes forbidden. Hunted by enemies and fighting for their lives, they must face impossible choices. Amid the chaos, a child is born who will change the fate of the entire world. it starts off as usual pucca chasing garu. but garu realizes that this running and chasing is immature and he's had enough. But then again this is a romance so maybe he hasn't. Pucca is 17 Garu is 17 Ching is 17 Abyo is 17 Ring Ring is 17 Ayo is 17 Jing Jing is 18 And tobe is 18.5

I DEFINITELY noticed all of these the first time and not on my fourth rewatch... my attachment to this show is VERY healthy... I am NOT obsessed... Anyway, I will be focusing on Pucca x Garu and SOME Ching x Abyo. I respect the shipping preferences of the audience (except for Tobe x Pucca because the wiki states that she's 13 and he's 18 so you Tobecca fans may want to reevaluate your life choices...) but I don't have the time, energy, or motivation to do EVERY ship. Giving up on this fanfic and left most my old Pucca here. Below, supposedly to be a summary. (Through many years of training, Garu was chosen to bring honor to his clan. He must successfully seek Sooga Village and earn his clan honor from the misdeed their ancestors did. The path Garu chooses is tough to pass, but he fighting the name of honor.)

Garu was chosen to go on a extremely important mission for the sake of Sooga Village. No one knows how long it will take, so he has to say goodbye to all his fellow friends for the time being. This did not sit well with Pucca. You know how everyone says that if Pucca was a guy that she'd basically be Pepe Le Pew? I find that to be a gross mischaracterizingion. Pepe's biggest problem in his relationships is not understanding the word No. Pucca's biggest problem is not understanding that some people need a few years in a relationship before they are comfortable with making out. Both are issues with consent but wildly different. Garu isn't screaming "NO NO STOP" after he ran to another country to get away from Pucca. He's 12, devoted to his work, and a little shy. There is problems here but that's not one of them. Anyway, Garu is a catboy in this. Pucca pets him.
