New York City's been ghost-dormant for thirty years, but the spark of ghostbusting hasn't completely faded. Murphy Stantz, grandson of Ray Stantz, has kept the ghostbusting flame alive even when it seemed lost. But when the Spenglers get the keys to the old firehouse, he finds his world turned upside down by Phoebe Spengler. And not in the good way. As a frozen empire of ghosts reawakens, the two legacies must set aside their differences and join forces to save the city.

In 2021, when Callie and her kids Trevor and Phoebe arrive in a small town of Chamberlain, Maine, Trevor is school (high school) student, goes to Ewen High School, he meets Carrie White, finds out what her school life is like, they begin to discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind. But then Phoebe Spengler and Y/n Stirling are benched by the mayor himself, and of course that's followed by the discovery of an ancient artifact that causes a chain of chilling reactions. It seems the apocalypse is on the rise once again. It's time to turn up the heat before it drops.

With the help of his husband Egon's ghost, Dr. Ray Stantz has to save the world...again. It begins with books. One morning, Ray comes downstairs from his apartment above the shop and finds a perfectly balanced, 6 foot 2 inch tall, symmetrical stack of books in the dead center of Ray's Occult Books. "No human being could stack books like this," he remembers Venkman saying at their first ever haunting, the NYC Public Library. 6'2" was exactly Egon's height. One inch taller than Ray.
