COMPLETED It's 1968! Michael and Kayla ask for you to join them in another year of their adventure. In this installment, the first step to national fame is met. This makes 1968 a challenging year for the pair. And, of course, we have their ordinary challenges. Kayla's family is still having issues, ranging from toddler Charles to old, procrastinating Grandma Reynolds. Her father, Elijah, is still piping mad over all of his issues, yet never does anything about it. Pressure is piling on top of Kayla like a sack of bricks. We can't forget about Michael, either. With his daily practicing, pressed schedules, late nights, early mornings, gigs, recordings, and Big Boy, he's got just as much, if not more, piled on his plate. Plus, we all know that Joseph isn't making the problems any easier... on either of the two. With all of these complications, can Kayla and Michael make it through another year in this cold, hard world? Or, like their previous lives, will they fail themselves and return back to Heaven, regretting they ever tried altering their lives? Like the last book, this one will probably be fairly short. COMPLETED (REWRITING) Book 1 of the original series. To sum this story up decently, this is about a teenage girl named Kayla. Now, little stubborn Kayla has a fate unlike any other in the only known "first" physical plane: she is Michael Jackson's Chosen One. A mysterious force takes her to Heaven one fateful night after a tantrum. There, she and Michael meet up and begin new "second" lives as an attempt to erase the horrible memories of their first ones. However, trouble comes along the way. Like anyone else who begins a second life, they find out they are bound together- maybe not literally, but spiritually. They must work through their hardships and achieve three majors goals: live longer than their first life, achieve their major resolution, and not get killed in the process. So, I ask you to join Kayla and Michael in their fantastical journey through the planes and realms, into a little steeltown also known as Gary, Indiana, in the year of 1965. COMPLETED Welcome to book 3! Yes, Kayla and Michael made it past 1965 and 1966. Unfortunately, those were some of the easiest years of their new lives. Now, the fame of the brothers will begin taking effect, for the better or the worse. Not much happens in 1967. The year actually begins as peaceful, only getting serious around the seventh of each month. Of course, neither of the parents believe the kids... As the year progresses, things get serious with Motown. Joseph lobbies his hardest, trying and trying to get the boys signed. He shows that he will do nearly anything to get extra income into the household... and that means getting the boys to perform anywhere. Kayla and Michael struggle through this year, as fame is finally coming to the two of them. Will they succeed through another year of their new lives, or will they fail their biggest responsibility: keeping themselves alive? This story may make more sense if you read the first couple books. COMPLETED ... Yes. It's book 2. I decided to go on with a sequel to '1965'. This is gonna be a heck of a long series. But exciting things are happening within the world of Kayla and Michael. In the year of 1966, several exciting events occur: new semester, new school year, birthdays, Janet on the way, and, of course... decisions, decisions, decisions. Will Kayla and Michael survive through the year of 1966? Or will they crumble apart and ultimately fail the mission? I will say that this story will make a lot more sense if you read '1965' first.
