"Eli Eli Lema Sabachtani!" I cry out, crystal tears washing the grime from my pale cheeks. My eyes ache and my throat is raw from crying and screaming. My head lulls to my bare shoulder as it gets harder to keep my eyes open. ~~~~~ This book is inspired by a dance I'm doing in my youth performance company called Warsaw 1943. This dance is about the Polish Jews ghetto, Warsaw. When performing it a while ago, it brought everyone to tears. I won't tell what happens in the dance because this story closely follows that dance, but with added details. The chapters in this book will be shorter than others, but I promise they'll be good. ~~~~~ DISCLAIMER This is in no way to offend anyone or to stir up drama. This is merely a fictional story, however, the events of World War ll did happen and this may have been what many experiences were like. I will not input my opinion on this event through this story. Many characters in this story are my OCs. Any characters with an asterisk (*) next to them were/are (depending on if they're still alive) real people. Any character with that symbol will have a short bio at the end of that chapter. Also, I am not fluent in German, Polish or Hebrew so I may be using a program called WorldLingo. My brother can speak German pretty well so the German will probably be more accurate. None of the images used in this story are mine. They belong to their rightful photographers, artists, and designers. I'll try to use photos that are from the Holocaust to give the most accurate representation. ~~~~~ WARNINGS There will be war, blood, death, religion, swearing, abuse, and genocide.
