A short one shot and continuation of the story by Elizabeth Gaskell. This is my first time writing fanfiction after years of reading it. I might continue writing this story since I'm very interested in what M and J's life in Miton will be like :)

After having her fortune told by a gypsy, Meg Armstrong moves through a mirror from 1920s England to 1850 Milton--and finds out she has stepped into the shoes of Margaret Hale. She has been sent back in time with a mission to fulfill--to save John Thornton's life. But will she be able to fulfill her mission without losing her heart?

What if Margaret was an event photographer and John owned a concert venue? A modern AU story, set in the not-quite-current day United States. Starts with the beginning and will end after HEA, with some drama along the way. My ideas on the Gaskell storyline and where it's going to go, or where I hope it will go. Mainly focusing on Jac's part (of course) with a bit of everyone dotted about. Following what is in the latest Holby trailer.

A collection of english critical responses showcasing Elizabeth Gaskell's Realist novel "North and South", a genre study, an analysis of Robert Gray's poetry, an essay on Tim Winton's short stories, Boaz Yakin's film "Remember The Titans" and a comparison of Dan Zeff's miniseries "Lost In Austen" and Tim Burton's film "Alice In Wonderland".

I am surprised that so many people have enjoyed my story without ever having read or seen the book and film production on which it is based. I am very curious to know more about your familiarity with the original story. Please use the commentary for this poll to respond.
