Two ecologists, one an ill disciplined former intern scientist who only wishes to pay off his student debt, and his sibling a mercenary working for the ecologists. A dynamic duo, polar opposites but of the same blood. Together, they navigate the treacherous wasteland, facing deadly anomalies, ruthless bandits, and the ever-watchful Zone that seeks to break them.

He retells of the traumatic events in which robots with soulless sockets for eyes begin taking over the streets, and how he fears that the French government has somehow stolen his own designs to create machines of mass destruction. He also tells of how he fears for his life and the lives of all of London.
