It has been two years since I have had physical contact without pain. You can blame the militia for that. They attacked us, if we were lucky enough to make it out alive then we had a after-affect of the drug they used on us. Everyone is different, mine is worse than most. If someone touches me, it feels like my skin is burning off my body. It sucks but I have learned to live with it. As the only child of the Doyen of East Egg, I am dominating life and running the University full of future leaders when HE comes to class. God was having a very good day when he made this man. 6'3" Caramel skin, a body that had to be sculpted and...the exact type of self-centered jerk that comes from East Egg. Underneath all of that caramel skin, and muscular six feet three frame, there is a weakness. I will find it. But what happens if he finds mine first? When he stumbles out of the classroom early, I have had enough and follow him. The bastard falls right into me and holds on like I am the only thing he can see when it occurs to me...he is touching me and it doesn't hurt. After two years of not being touched, damn me for losing control and shoving my body against his extremely well built one. Damn him for kissing me with those pouty lips when I am promised to be married to my childhood friend and Vice Doyens son. Turns out, the only boy in the world I can touch is the only son of the East Egg Leader, our enemy. The country is divided, we are on the brink of a civil war and his kiss ... was strangely familiar. What is going on? And why the hell is he staring at me like that?
