SPOILERS for Hogwarts Legacy (Though not for the ending - just for this quest) Ever thought Sebastian was a little too ready to cast the Cruciatus Curse in the In The Shadow of the Study quest? I've attempted to rewrite the scene to make it more plausible, and done so from Ominis' perspective. Some original dialogue is included, but most is changed, and much is added. -- Ominis, Sebastian, and Elizabeth venture down into Salazar Slytherin's hidden scriptorium, hoping to uncover its secrets. But they soon become trapped in a room with a door that can only be opened with the Cruciatus curse. Ominis, scarred from past trauma, refuses to use it, while Sebastian sees it as the only way out. Ominis must navigate a dangerous game of persuasion and trust as they desperately search for another way out. With tensions rising and time running out, can they escape the scriptorium alive, or will their lack of decisions consume them all?

The overall plot is set to explore themes of family, regret, resolve, and commitment, but I will let the reader decide on their love interest at the very end. Upon arrival, River is sorted into Slytherin, and makes quick friends with a few of his new housemates. Sebastian Sallow, a charismatic, boy with a penchant for trouble. Anne Sallow, Sebastian's twin sister, who is as pretty as she is competitive, and Ominis Gaunt, best friend of the Sallow twins and the only one who manages to keep them from getting expelled. River expected a lot of things to happen this year at his new school, but what he never expected was the feelings he developed for his new friends. Maybe being roommates wouldn't be such a good idea. This is a slowburn poly fic between Ominis, Sebastian, and my OC River. This characters is NOT MC from the game. There may be smut in the future, however as the characters are still young, it will likely be much later on when they are aged up, if I include it at all. For now I'm just interested in letting these characters be loved, god knows they need it. Also if anyone has any idea on how to get the story cover to actually fit inside the box, I would greatly appreciate it if someone told me how to fix it.
