Young Theodore gets adopted by his Aunt Susan and lives his life in the Mayfield household. One day, he meets a boy named Billy at the club. They start meeting up more often, but neither of them expects what happens next: their parents are also dating. Before they know it, they become step-siblings and must navigate this situation while keeping their relationship a secret. It gets even stranger when they move from sunny California to Hawkins, Indiana. They meet new, interesting people and are caught up in supernatural occurrences.
