It's Oliver's last day staying with the Perlmans, and both men are already grieving the loss of each other. Each is trying to find a way to remember the other by. Both come up with love letters. This is a very short short story about Oliver and Elio's goodbye. This is a sonnet sequence that I had to write for an English literature class at uni. Since (Shakespearean) Sonnets are traditionally love poems, I wanted to push myself to write a few under the topic. I've got no first hand experience with love, so I thought, 'why not write the poems from book characters' experiences?' André Aciman writes these boys with such care and precision. I thank him for creating such beautiful subjects; all I had to do was continue their story. The first sonnet is written in the Shakespearean (English) style and is from Oliver's point of view. The second, Petrarchan (Italian), is from Elio's perspective. You'll notice that I've correlated their poem style to where they're from (Oliver, New England and Elio, Italy). Psa: these are pretty shitty sonnets, I'm just publishing them because this is where I publish all my uni writing I guess...

I never meant to notice him. But his laugh cracked something open in me, and suddenly he was everywhere - in my head, in my chest, in every poem I swore I'd never write about a boy. I tell myself I hate the way he makes me feel. But loving him feels like breathing for the first time, like finally understanding myself, like standing on the edge of a truth I'm scared to say out loud. This is a poem about the boy who became a lighthouse in a room that never glows - the chaos I keep choosing, the almost I can't let go of, the him I can't stop orbiting.

A Collection Of Gay-Themed Poetry This is not a coming-out story. It's what happens before, during, and after the words are spoken. This Is Me Thinking Out Loud is a collection of gay-themed poems that traces the quiet interior moments of identity, love, visibility, and endurance. From first recognition to being seen, chosen, and finally settled into a life that no longer revolves around survival, these poems capture queerness as lived experience-intimate, reflective, and ongoing. Each poem is image-driven and grounded in emotional truth, offering snapshots of attraction, fear, tenderness, partnership, and peace. The collection moves deliberately from internal thought to spoken truth, from visibility to connection, and ultimately to legacy-where love becomes practiced, home becomes real, and existence no longer needs justification. This book is for anyone who has ever: • Learned to stay quiet before learning to speak • Loved carefully before loving openly • Built a soft life after hard years • Wondered if peace could be real and lasting Whether you are still struggling, healing, thriving, or simply existing, these poems meet you where you are-without hierarchy, without urgency, and without apology. This is me thinking out loud. And maybe, somewhere in these pages, you'll hear yourself too.

"Echoes of the Stars: A Poet's Odyssey" is my heartfelt collection of poetry, inviting you to join me on a profound journey through the cosmos and the depths of the human soul. Each poem is a delicate whisper from the stars, reflecting my gentle musings and unique perspective on the world. In this odyssey, I explore themes of identity, love, loss, and the infinite beauty of the universe. With a voice that is both tender and powerful, I aim to capture the essence of what it means to be a small part of a vast, mysterious cosmos. Join me on this celestial voyage, where every word is a star, every verse a constellation, and every page a step closer to understanding the profound mysteries of life and the universe. "Echoes of the Stars: A Poet's Odyssey" is a timeless collection that I hope will resonate with anyone who has ever looked up at the night sky and wondered about their place in the grand tapestry of existence.
