Luca Ortiz is a Junior at Danger Falls High, a school full of cliche's you'd find in a teen drama on the CW Network. But there's more to him than his snarkiness, quick wits, pop culture references and famous telenovela parents. Luca is a Spirit Speaker. Gifted with the abilities to communicate with and see the Spirits of dead people, it is his mission to help these Spirits with their unfinished business, so they can move on to their respective afterlife. On an October morning, Luca meets the disoriented Spirit of a recently killed girl who has no idea what is happening. Because of this, Luca is unable to help her until he finds out who she is, how she died and who killed her. But as he starts to investigate her death he will soon discover a few secrets that could destroy the lives of many that are still living. How hard can it be to investigate a murder, while dealing with the upcoming Halloween Prom, the return of an old friend and having a crush on a mysterious new student? Well, Luca is about to find out.
