This poem portrays the injustice depicted on the people of Gaza. We live in a world where justice has lost its dignity and stance. In a country like Gaza, people are massacred regardless of age and gender. The brutality has no end and it doesn’t look like the trauma will cease.

Leena Al-Sharif, a 20-year-old born in Gaza, Palestine, found herself in Houston, Texas, after her parents' visa was accepted when she was only 3 years old. Living as a registered alien, Leena spent most of her life in the U.S. until her green card was approved, making her want to visit her grandparents in Gaza, and on September 30th, she decided to go with her 16-year-old brother, Hassan. During their stay, they embraced traditions and learned new things. However, everything took a tragic turn on October 7th when conflict erupted from Israel's bombing on Gaza.

In the heart of Gaza, where families continue to face unimaginable hardship, Penny Appeal USA has launched a vital initiative to care for the region's most vulnerable-it's infants. Through our Gaza Infant Support program, we've reached 764 babies, delivering life-saving nutrition and hygiene essentials during one of the most challenging times in recent history. Between April 11 and May 11, 2025, in partnership with PAEEP, we distributed: 2,200+ tins of infant formula Hundreds of tins of cereal and powdered milk These supplies were carefully chosen to meet the unique nutritional needs of children ranging from one day old to five years. For breastfeeding mothers, we also provided powdered milk to support their own nutrition and milk production-ensuring no baby was left behind. Yet, nutrition is only part of the story. In a region where clean water and sanitation are scarce, hygiene is critical. That's why each child also received: Diapers Baby bottles Tissues and wet wipes These items, though simple, play a crucial role in protecting children from disease and preserving their dignity. Additionally, we ensured the availability of clean drinking water in shelters, enabling families to safely prepare formula and keep their little ones hydrated and healthy. This effort is more than aid-it's a promise to Gaza's children that they are not forgotten. "We won't let them say you died quietly." Yousef is a 22-year-old writer trapped in Gaza - a city that bleeds, burns, and is slowly being erased by war. With no weapons, no way out, and nothing left but a charred notebook, he begins to write. Not to survive - but to be remembered. Each page becomes a testimony. Each word, an act of resistance. Each death, a name the world must never forget. Through bombings, starvation, and unspeakable loss, Yousef documents the genocide unfolding around him - from a mother rocking her dead child like a lullaby, to children hiding in the basements of shattered schools. And when there is nothing left to say, he sends his final pages to the world. The next day, he is killed in an airstrike. But his story lives. Gaza-cide is a raw, devastating, and unflinching fictional account of a genocide told through the eyes of one young man - a book so powerful, it sparks global outrage, viral protests, and international resistance. This isn't just a story. This is a weapon made of words. And its final line is the promise that ignited the world: "From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free."

This may be the only thing I ever upload. Maybe I'll add another poem to this, but I highly doubt it. If you've read this far, please consider reading it. It's not incredible but I did try.

On top of that, she feels pressure because some fellow Muslims don't approve of her. Will her fame really be worth the heavy price she's paid for it? A poem about a Palestinian girl.

"His father stopped as a building in the far horizon blew up into a million fragments. ‘Because…’ he knelt down to his son’s level and looked him straight in the eye, ‘if you die, justice dies with you.’"

Birds flew past us and just by the look of them one could tell they knew. They knew what we were living through. They knew we were struggling for survival. They knew. Just like the rest of the world did. But surely they will come to our rescue. That is what my young naïve self thought. I was only 12.
