Okay so I blame the ship for being too perfect. This is completely spontaneous, and I can only hope that I have the will and determination to finish it lol. The FFI Tournament finished with "Inazuma Japan" winning, but what came after that? Torch and Gazel nearly gained a mental breakdown from the loss against Japan. "Fire Dragons" never made it to the finals, and that was nearly the end for the two boys. That was not the only problem, things were surely changing, and Jane will gain a shock as well.
