In an alternate version of 1800s London, the government is corrupt and the poor are pushed down. New technologies give rise to new evils and there is little hope in the shadowy streets. New horrors are rising and only the four clockwork pieces can stop them. A thief, an inventor, a soldier and a noble women must face the corruption in the world and themselves in order to bring light to the shadows and free the city from their oppressors. This unlikely team is looking to start a revolution. It will take lies, betrayal, tricks, murder and of course, theft, to win a game full of shady politicians, corrupt officials and a darkness deeper than imagined. Set in steampunk, Victorian era. The city is made up of four wards the crown ward, being those who have nothing but money; the sky ward, consists of those who are well off; in the depths of the blue ward, the sky is no longer visable, and the poor roam the streets; and at the very bottom of the city lies the sinister sand wars, where anarchy rules, and crime is a regular occupancy, even the guards dare not enter here...

He held the matching key. (The setting of the story has magic, not like Harry Potty, but there's magic. Also, gears and keys are very important in the story.
